Lower toxicity

When vaporizing, the active ingredients are vaporized, so there is no combustion as in conventional smoking. The heating releases the active substances but does not produce carcinogens and other fumes such as tar, carbon monoxide and heavy metals.

Cigarette smoking vs. Vaping

Many studies have confirmed the link between smoking and a range of adverse health effects such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. Cigarette smoking is considered a major risk factor for lung cancer. The likelihood of dying from heart disease increases fourfold as a result of smoking.

Cigarette smoke contains approximately 4,800 different compounds. Approximately 100 of these are known carcinogens, cocarcinogens and mutagens. This complex mixture also contains gases such as:

  • ozone
  • formaldehyde
  • ammonia
  • carbon monoxide
  • toluene and benzene

Cigarette smoking, in combination with other risk factors such as hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, contributes to the development and promotion of the atherosclerotic process.

In addition to its undeniable role in the development of lung cancer, cigarette smoking also contributes to many other chronic diseases, including chronic bronchitis and pulmonary emphysema.

Vaping users experience less respiratory irritation compared to conventional combustion techniques, as shown in some studies. After controlling for risk factors, vaporiser use has been associated with fewer reported respiratory symptoms in these studies compared to other combustion techniques.

However, it is important to note that vaporisation is not entirely without risk either. Some studies report that the heating process can lead to the formation of new decomposing compounds that can be dangerous.

Vaping without nicotine

The tobacco in cigarettes contains nicotine, an extremely addictive substance that has many harmful effects. As numerous studies have shown, nicotine adversely affects the cardiovascular, respiratory, immunological and reproductive systems and can compromise lung and kidney function.

Avoid nicotine when vaping cannabinoids. For example, disposable HHC and CBD vape pens contain only distillate (highly concentrated cannabis concentrate) containing HHC or CBD, or a combination of different cannabiods enriched with terpenes. You can also try flowers enriched with HHC or CBD distillate. The advantage of the flowers is that they contain a natural mixture of cannabinoids and terpenes that work together (entourage effect) and can be much more potent than individual cannabinoids.

Maximum preservation of active ingredients

When cannabis plants are vaporised, the cannabinoid content is almost 95% and the remaining 5% is made up of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and caryophyllene, a non-toxic oil found in cannabis and other plants. In contrast, the smoke produced by the hemp combustion method contains only 12 % cannabinoids.

The active substances in cannabis are released at different temperatures. The ideal temperature for vaporising cannabis is 180-200 °C. However, some terpenes and flavonoids are released at lower temperatures. Selected types of vaporisers allow you to regulate the temperature as required. To achieve the desired effects, study the boiling point of the individual cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.

Better taste and aroma

Another benefit of vaporising cannabinoids is a better taste and aroma experience. The vapour produced during vaporisation contains fragrant components. It is cleaner than smoke and you can enjoy the active ingredients without the burnt and bitter smell. While it's hard to distinguish the different ingredients or varieties of cannabis when smoking, a quality vaporizer will allow you to do so.

In addition, if you prefer liquids, you can choose from a wide range of aromas and flavours - HHC vapes with lemon, raspberry or mango, as well as exotic flavours such as piña colada.

Discreet and odourless

Vaporisation does not produce unpleasant smoke like combustion. The vapour from the vaporiser dissipates within seconds of exhalation. There is no risk of the smell lingering on your clothes, furniture, sofa or curtains.

The popular portable vaporizers are also relatively unobtrusive and take up almost no space. And if you want to be really discreet and enjoy the benefits of cannabinoids on the go, try a vape pen that fits in even the smallest pocket or handbag.

A plethora of options

You can vape herbs, concentrates or liquids in a variety of flavours. You can choose single cannabinoids or combinations of cannabinoids in different ratios, depending on the effects you want to achieve. There are nowadays a large number of vaporizers to choose from at different price levels, so it just depends on the user's preferences and requirements.

Summary

Vaping brings several benefits, including preservation of active ingredients, enhanced taste and flavour experience and discretion. Vaporisation does not burn, and carcinogens such as tar and heavy metals are not produced. Flowers, liquids and cannabis concentrates do not contain nicotine or other addictive ingredients. Vaping provides control over dosage and intensity of effects. Nevertheless, it should be borne in mind that even vaping is not entirely without risks. To eliminate these risks as much as possible, choose only certified products from trusted vendors. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use when handling, adjusting and cleaning your vaporizer.
