Hot news on the market. The world's most potent cannabinoid THCP

With their rather unexpected findings in a groundbreaking scientific study, the Italian scientists have spurred further research into this cannabinoid and its possible effects on the human body. For now, it appears that this could be another substance that could help fight unpleasant anxieties, inflammation or chronic pain.

However, the scientific community is still waiting for a more detailed scientific study to investigate the long-term effects of THCP products on the human body.

Discovered in 2019

For the first time ever, the effects of the cannabinoid THCP were described in a scientific paper published in 2019 in the journal Nature. Scientists made this discovery as part of the UNIHEMP research project, which was sponsored by the European Regional Development Fund at the time, and the results were more interesting than many initially thought.

The cannabinoid THCP was shown to be up to 33 times more potent in the endocannabinoid system than the better known THC. The researchers made this finding through an experiment using cultured cells, in which they examined the interplay of THCP with CB1 and CB2 receptors in the brain.

During this investigation, they found that the cannabinoid THCP was present in much lower concentrations in the medical cannabis strain studied than THC. Even so, THCP showed much more pronounced activity compared to THC. Further testing subsequently showed that THCP in particular substantially mimics the effects of other cannabinoids in terms of body temperature or pain.

Further scientific studies are pending

However, this research only involved mice. The first major scientific study on the relationship between the cannabinoid THCP and the human body is still awaited.

Studies conducted on mice have shown that THCP has a longer half-life than THC and is more effective in reducing pain and inflammation.

The half-life of compounds is a key factor in determining both efficacy and safety. It refers to the time it takes for half the atomic nuclei of a compound to be eliminated from the human body.

In any case, studies in mice have shown that the half-life of the cannabinoid THCP could be between two and three days. The longer half-life than the better known cannabinoid THC suggests that the compounds may remain active in the human body for longer periods of time, which could increase their potential effectiveness in the possible treatment of a variety of medical conditions.

Is THCP legal?

THCP is currently not included in the list of addictive substances in many countries around the world, and the same is true in the Czech Republic. However, the status of the cannabinoid THCP can change rapidly over time, which is why it is important to keep a close eye on current legislation.

Although the use of THCP products is not legally prohibited, they still need to be treated with caution. The long-term effects on the human body have not yet been sufficiently studied and raise many questions in scientific circles.

For this reason, it is also advisable to use only THCP products that are backed by reputable manufacturers. This is the only way to be sure that the products you buy are safe and correctly labelled.

What are the benefits and products?

The cannabinoid THCP could have several different effects on the human body. Due to the action of THCP products on the endocannabinoid system, there is talk of altering auditory and visual perception or inducing euphoric feelings. It could also support the process of falling asleep.

Currently, the cannabinoid THCP is available, for example in cartridges, in several different flavours. For example, there is Super Lemon Haze, Blue Dream or Zkittles. In addition, THCP can be purchased in the form of oils, liquids, drops or gummies.

Conclusion

The cannabinoid THCP may hold enormous potential. The high estimated potency is attracting scientists and users of other commonly known cannabinoids such as CBD or HHC. Nevertheless, the effects of THCP on the human body are not yet well enough understood. At least until then, any user should approach THCP products with great caution.
