What is 10-OH-HHC and what are its effects?

10-OH-HHC (10-hydroxyhexahydrocannabinol) is a hydroxy derivative of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol). It is formed by the action of the enzyme cytochrome P450, which is abundantly present in the liver.

The process of producing 10-OH-HHC products begins with the synthesis of HHC. During this reaction, HHC is chemically modified by the addition of a hydroxyl group (-OH) at the tenth position of the molecular core.

10-OH-HHC mimics the effects of THC, HHC and HHCP but with less intensity. The effects of 10-OH-HHC are weaker and shorter compared to HHC due to the fact that hydroxyderivatives have low bioavailability and are rapidly eliminated from the body.

10-OH-HHC may affect perception, induce feelings of euphoria and relaxation, or increase appetite.
